The Department is seeking graduates who have the necessary personal qualities, skills and attributes to undertake the demanding and varying responsibilities of the position, including representing Ireland abroad, and to progress to the most senior positions in the diplomatic service and the development stream.
The Development Specialist Officer role is the recruitment level for the development stream in the Department of Foreign Affairs. To apply for this position you must hold a minimum Level 8 qualification (first or second class primary Honours Bachelor) level specific to the area of international development.
