IMCA alliances with kindred professional bodies
Over the last sixteen months, the IMCA has forged various alliances with a select group of kindred bodies of strategic fit, each one focusing on a particular business discipline that is relevant to the management consultancy profession.  Each new partnership delivers elements of value and benefit for interested IMCA members, ranging from opportunities for affiliate memberships, to joint member CPD and business networking events, through to discounted rates for training seminars and programs. Summary details of these alliances are:

  • The alliance with the Irish Tax Institute incorporates a series of joint member CPD events and briefings on topical tax developments.  Also, any current IMCA member with a business need to keep abreast of tax developments that could affect their clients’ commercial activities is now eligible to become an Affiliate of the ITI.  Full details of the ITI Affiliate offer and the application process for IMCA members are available HERE
  • The alliance with the Law Society Finuas Network delivers relevant CPD and training supports to IMCA members, providing updates on topical legal developments in the areas of competition and business law, and matters pertinent to the efficient and effective performance of your firm. Currently, Law Society Finuas Skillnet training courses are restricted to solicitor members of the Law Society of Ireland however, as part of the new alliance current IMCA members can now access specified courses on the same terms and at the same fee as solicitor members. Details of the first offerings are available HERE
  • The alliance with Chartered Accountants Interim Managers (CAIM) delivers joint member CPD and business networking events. CAIM is a group of independent financial experts with sectoral expertise in areas that overlap with the niche focus of IMCA members. Current IMCA members are now also eligible to apply to become an Affiliate of the CAIM; if you are interested please email chairman@cainterims.ie for further details
  • The alliance with the Project Management Institute – Ireland Chapter encompasses the delivery of a series of joint member CPD and business networking events, with both organisations also collaborating on the promotion of matters of mutual benefit.

There is much to be gained from collaborations with these new alliance partners, particularly in the areas of business networking for IMCA members and CPD initiatives that compliment the Institute’s existing, members led CPD program. These benefits will combine with academic input from the IMCA’s extended group of partner business schools to deliver bespoke CPD and training programs needed to align with the changing competence framework for the management consultancy profession, thereby helping to ensure that IMCA members maintain the sharpness of their management consultancy skills and their professional designation.
