The Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers is the recognised professional institute for management consultants and business advisers in Ireland. Their mission is to foster and promote the value, quality and benefits of business consulting and advisory services in Ireland. They achieve this by establishing, supporting and measuring quality standards, by representing and supporting the profession and by promoting the value and benefits delivered to clients. IMCA is a member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes.

IMCA is now seeking an ambitious Chief Executive who will lead on the implementation of the strategy set by the Board and grow the membership base while increasing both quality of service and engagement levels. Reporting to the Board, the person appointed will be responsible achieving the financial goals of the organisation and delivering high-profile, high-quality business events and publications.

The Chief Executive will provide a positive force for change, encouraging innovation and development of the organisation and ensuring that it is fit for purpose in an ever-evolving environment. The role will be first point of contact for Irish and international media and the successful candidate will be tasked with developing an appropriate communications strategy while increasing the profile of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a tenacious and energetic leader with a level of gravitas appropriate to the role. Along with having a track record of success in the field of advisory, he/she will also possess the ability to build and nurture strategic relationships at all levels and successfully collaborate and represent with the government, the Irish business community, the education sector and the relevant public sector bodies. A customer-focused mind-set will be critical to success in this role.
