Kathy O’Reilly, BA, MSc: Kathy is a Lecturer and Programme Director at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. She holds an MSc in International Business, and teaches a number of courses, including International Business, Global Marketing, Project Management and Management Consulting Principles. Kathy teaches across various UCD programmes in Ireland, Spain and Singapore, at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. She has been the Academic Director of the MSc in Management Consultancy since 2002, and also delivers a Management Consultancy module on the Smurfit School full-time and executive MBA programmes. Prior to joining UCD, Kathy worked for General Electric (GE), where she became a Six Sigma Black Belt and successfully delivered a number of quality projects within GE Capital. From GE, Kathy joined PA Consulting’s Government and Public Sector practice, where she specialized in the delivery of HR and training-related projects in Ireland and the UK. Kathy is a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD), and is an Academic Fellow of the ICMCI, the global professional body of the management consulting industry. She is currently completing a Doctorate in Education, looking at the role of experiential learning in management education and development.
